Terms of Use
Updated April 2026
These terms govern use of Raespoon & Review and its editorial content. Using the site means you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. The terms exist mostly to clarify what this publication is and isn’t.
Editorial, not professional advice
Nothing on this site is legal, accounting, tax, medical, or specific professional advice. Our articles describe general practices and the experiences of working musicians. They are not a substitute for consultation with a licensed attorney, accountant, or other professional for your specific situation. If an article discusses contract terms, tax treatment, visa requirements, insurance, or similar matters, use it as background understanding and then consult someone qualified to advise on your case.
Editorial independence
Our editorial content is not reviewed or approved by sponsors, advertisers, or any third party before publication. Sponsored content, where it appears, is clearly labeled. We don’t accept compensation in exchange for editorial coverage. If we recommend a tool, service, or practice, it is because someone on our staff has used it and can speak to what worked.
Use of our content
You’re welcome to read our content for personal use, share articles with people who might benefit, and quote brief passages with attribution (title, author, link). For longer reproductions, reprint permissions, or syndication, contact our press desk. We’re generally receptive to reasonable reuse requests, especially from other independent music publications and from educational institutions.
Automated bulk scraping, mass copying for republication without permission, and use of our content to train commercial AI models without consent are not permitted. These are governed by both these terms and by applicable copyright law.
Accuracy and corrections
We fact-check articles against primary sources and subject-matter reviewers before publication. When we find errors post-publication, we correct within 48 hours and disclose the correction at the bottom of the affected article. Law, industry practice, and technical standards change; an article accurate when published may not reflect the current state of affairs. Verify against current sources for anything you’re relying on for a specific decision.
External links
We link to external resources — statutes, academic research, other publications, tools — when they support our content. We don’t control those sites or their privacy practices, and linking does not constitute endorsement.
Not affiliated with any artist or entity
Raespoon & Review is an editorial imprint. The name was chosen for its cadence in 2019 and is not associated with any artist, label, venue, or organization that may share similar name. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking on behalf of any such entity.
Disclaimers
The site is provided as is. We don’t warrant the content is free from errors, that the site will be available at all times, or that the content will meet any particular need. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express and implied.
We are not liable for damages arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. If you’re making decisions based on anything published here, verify against primary sources and consult appropriate professional counsel.
Changes to terms
We update these terms as needed. Substantive changes are dated at the top. Continued use after posted changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated terms, stop using the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are resolved in the provincial or federal courts located in British Columbia.
