Privacy Policy
Updated April 2026
Raespoon & Review is a small independent editorial journal. We collect very little data, we don’t sell or share what we have, and we don’t run behavioral advertising. The detail follows, written in as plain language as we can manage.
What we collect automatically
Our hosting infrastructure logs basic request data — IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp, referrer. Logs are retained for roughly 30 days and used only for operational purposes: identifying technical problems, measuring general traffic patterns, investigating abuse. We don’t use these logs to build profiles of individual visitors.
We use Cloudflare as a CDN and reverse proxy, which means Cloudflare processes requests before they reach our origin server. Cloudflare’s own privacy practices are documented in their privacy policy and are standard for CDN services.
What we don’t do
No behavioral advertising. No retargeting pixels. No Facebook Pixel. No Google Ads conversion tracking. No third-party analytics that profile individuals. No data broker sales. No visitor list sharing with sponsors. Any advertising on the site is contextually placed and does not require individualized tracking. If that changes, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.
Cookies
Minimal. A small operational cookie may be set by Cloudflare for security purposes (bot detection, DDoS protection). We don’t set our own analytics, tracking, or session cookies. Reading the site should result in essentially no first-party cookies from us.
Contact and subscriber email
When you email us at any of the addresses listed on our contact page, your email is received and processed using standard email infrastructure. If you subscribe to the journal’s mailing list, we store your address and send issue notifications — nothing else. We don’t share subscriber lists. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in the email footer, and we delete your address when you do.
Third-party services
The site loads web fonts (Google Fonts) and, occasionally, embedded content like audio samples or video clips from YouTube or Vimeo within articles. These embeds are governed by the respective services’ privacy policies. We minimize third-party loads where we can. No third-party analytics, social media widgets, or advertising networks are embedded on the site.
Your rights
If you’re in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California, similar regimes elsewhere), those rights apply. In practice, because we collect so little, exercising them is simple: email us and we’ll confirm what (if anything) we have on file and delete it at your request, typically within a few business days.
Children
This site is intended for adult audiences. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you become aware that a minor has submitted information to us, email our editorial team and we’ll promptly remove it.
Policy updates
We update this policy as needed. Substantive changes are dated at the top of this page. If you have questions about any specific provision, email the editorial team via our contact page.
